Creamy Bacon & Pea Pasta
Ingredients
6-8 slices bacon cut into thin strips
1 onion fine diced
2 cloves garlic sliced
4 tbs Crème fraîche
400g pasta
300g frozen peas. Defrosted
Method
Start by cooking the pasta according to packet instruction, adding the peas for the last 2 minutes
Meanwhile heat 1 tbs olive oil in a large frying pan, fry the bacon and onion for a few minutes until golden and the bacon crispy
Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes
Add a few big spoon fulls of the pasta cooking water to the pan, give it a good stir then turn down the heat
Add the Crème fraiche and parsley
Toss together, serve with a squeeze of lemon and twist of black pepper
